LOCAL 815 SCHOLARSHIP WINNERS

CSEA Local 815 is pleased to announce the three winners of the Joyce M. Bauth, 
Victor E. Marr & Mike Bogulski Memorial Scholarships for the 
20016-2017 school year. 

Three $1,000 scholarships were awarded to:

Karlie Gambino, whose mother, Denise Gambino, works as a Senior Social Welfare Examiner for Erie County, will be attending University of Pittsburgh with the goal of becoming a doctor. (Karlie was also the winner of the CSEA Irving Flaumenbaum Memorial Scholarship given out statewide to eighteen high school seniors.)

Nathan Martens, whose mother, Lynn Martens, works as a Senior Special Investigator with Erie County, will be attending Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences with the goal of becoming a pharmacist.

Elizabeth Kubiniec, whose mother, Gail Kubiniec, works as a Social Services Team Leader with Erie County, will be attending the University at Buffalo with the goal of becoming a medical professional.

Denis Szymura, Local 815 President and Bob Pyjas, Scholarship Committee chairman, presented the awards at a luncheon on June 29, 2017.

Applications for the 2017-2018 scholarship will be available after April 1, 2018 at the Local 815 union hall, by calling 896-1640 or clicking on the benefits tab on our website at www.csea815.com.

On Saturday, November 12, more than 100 people attended the 16th Annual CSEA Western Region Veterans Day Ceremony held at the Buffalo & Erie County Naval & Military Park. The event was sponsored by the Western Region Veterans Committee.  Please check out the video below.
