LOCAL 815 SCHOLARSHIP WINNERS
CSEA Local 815 is pleased to announce the three winners of the Joyce M. Bauth,
Victor E. Marr & Mike Bogulski Memorial Scholarships for the
20016-2017 school year.
Three $1,000 scholarships were awarded to:
• Karlie Gambino, whose mother, Denise Gambino, works as a Senior Social Welfare Examiner for Erie County, will be attending University of Pittsburgh with the goal of becoming a doctor. (Karlie was also the winner of the CSEA Irving Flaumenbaum Memorial Scholarship given out statewide to eighteen high school seniors.)
• Nathan Martens, whose mother, Lynn Martens, works as a Senior Special Investigator with Erie County, will be attending Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences with the goal of becoming a pharmacist.
• Elizabeth Kubiniec, whose mother, Gail Kubiniec, works as a Social Services Team Leader with Erie County, will be attending the University at Buffalo with the goal of becoming a medical professional.
Denis Szymura, Local 815 President and Bob Pyjas, Scholarship Committee chairman, presented the awards at a luncheon on June 29, 2017.
