CSEA MEMBER APPRECIATION DATES

CSEA Erie Unit will be hosting Member Appreciation Events at various sites throughout the County during the month of December.  Union representative will be handing out the 2017 pocket calendar along with other items and information.  

  • Thursday, December 8, 2016 - Rath Bldg. (6th floor breakroom) - 10:00am - 2:00pm
  • Friday, Dec. 9, 2016 - 290 Main St. (10th floor orientation rm.) - 11:00am - 1:00pm
  • Wednesday, December 14, 2016 - 503 Kensington Ave. (Training Rm.) - 9:00am
  • Thursday, December 15, 2016 - Terrace View (cafeteria) - 6:00am - 4:00pm
  • Friday, December 16, 2016 - E.C.M.C. (employee entrance) 6:00am - 4:00pm
  • H & K Bldg. (date still to be determined)


Section Presidents will be personally delivering calendars to all members who work in other locations.

Towns, Villages and other Local Unit members should ask their Unit Presidents for their calendars.

CSEA VETERAN'S DAY CEREMONY

On Saturday, November 12, more than 100 people attended the 16th Annual CSEA Western Region Veterans Day Ceremony held at the Buffalo & Erie County Naval & Military Park. The event was sponsored by the Western Region Veterans Committee.  Please check out the video below.

LOCAL 815 SCHOLARSHIP WINNERS


CSEA Local 815 is pleased to announce the three winners of the Joyce M. Bauth, 
Victor E. Marr & Mike Bogulski Memorial Scholarships for the 20015-2016 school year. 
Three $1,000 scholarships were awarded to:

  • Jacob Jurewicz, whose father, Jeffrey Jurewicz, works as a Senior Public Health Sanitarian for the Erie County Health Dept. Jacob will be attending Capital University majoring in Music Technology.
 
  • Megan Bollman, whose father, Thomas Bollman works as a Corrections Officer for the E.C. Sheriff’s Dept. Megan will be attending Washington & Jefferson College majoring in business, with a minor in sociology and an emphasis in Pre-Law.

  • Kelechi Chillis-Ihenko, whose mother, Eleanore Chillis works as a clerk-typist in the Erie County Juvenile Probation Dept. Kelechi will be attending the University at Buffalo studying marketing and business for the music industry.

Denis Szymura, Local 815 President and Bob Pyjas, Scholarship Committee chairman, presented the awards at a luncheon on July 27, 2016.
